About

Hi, I’m Trinity—writer, traveler, speaker, content creator, and the troublemaker behind The Naked Traveler. I kicked off Indonesia’s first travel blog in 2005, when most people still asked for printed maps and “travel influencer” wasn’t a job title. Since then, I’ve turned my passion for travel into 15 national best-selling books, two movie adaptations (yes, Maudy Ayunda played me!), and a loyal audience that’s followed me across countries, platforms, and decades.

So, why Naked? Relax—it’s not that kind of blog. The name is a play on nekad, the Indonesian word for brave (or reckless, depending on who’s judging). It also reflects my style of storytelling: raw, honest, and filter-free. I write about the good, the bad, the bizarre, and the unforgettable parts of travel—and life.

Trinity has traveled to 110 countries—and counting. All with an Indonesian passport.

I even spent one full year traveling around the world, with no shortcuts or VIP treatment. I’ve also explored nearly every province in Indonesia. Through it all, I’m proud to have inspired a generation of Indonesians to see the world on their own terms.

Beyond travel, I write about anything that sparks curiosity—culture, lifestyle, social commentary, and personal reflections. I also take on writing assignments, work as a consultant, and help curate bespoke luxury trips. I love turning ideas into stories that make people think, laugh, or book a ticket.

Over the years, I’ve worn many hats: English–Indonesian literary translator, copywriter, editor-in-chief of Venture travel magazine, radio host at Indika FM, TV host of The Naked Traveler on MNC, columnist for JalanJalan, and contributor to Yahoo! Travel. I’ve been a featured speaker at the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival and selected to represent Indonesia at the Frankfurt Book Fair (2015).

I’ve been named Indonesia’s Leading Travel Writer (2010), one of the 5 Most Important Persons in Indonesian Tourism by detikTravel Readers’ Choice (2014), and one of the 12 Most Influential Indonesian Women on Twitter by Swa magazine (2010). I was also nominated for the RCTI Social Media Awards (2016).

I’ve been in love with writing since I was six years old—starting as a student journalist and never stopping. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Universitas Diponegoro in Semarang, Indonesia, and a Master’s in Management from the Asian Institute of Management in Manila, Philippines.

Whether you’re looking for travel inspiration, a smart collaborator, or a speaker with stories you won’t find on Google—I’m your person.

    Salam kenal, Mbak….
Bukunya TNT bener2 sangat menghibur saya sewaktu terjebak selama 12 jam di kereta on the way from Jakarta to Cepu pada awal Feb lalu dikarenakan banjir besar yg terjadi di Semarang.
But I surely someday will do that! 🙂
